I have the milling attachment for my Atlas 618 and it is a pain to go thru the set up and it is not nearly as versatile as a dedicated mill.

My Sherline mill on the other hand is a delight. Been using it in a CNC set up for 4 years now without a single hitch. I live in Malaysia and it seems like we both have to make do with whatever limited tool choices we have in this part of the world. I really envy those americans.

Jerry Keiffler showed me how to make any clock wheel cutter in 4 cuts in 15 minutes using the Sherline mill and I went out an bought one the next week.
